UFAC has received approval from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) for its proposal to create a master's degree in Electrical Engineering. The first class will begin in the first semester of 2025. The announcement regulating the selection process will soon be published on the UFAC website.

"The creation of the UFAC Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a dream come true, built by the program's faculty, who worked hard for over ten years to submit a proposal accepted by CAPES," said José Humberto Araújo Monteiro, professor at the Center for Exact and Technological Sciences.

According to him, the new program will serve not only UFAC's undergraduate and alumni but also professionals from the state of Acre seeking a master's degree.
